If he tried just a little harder, I bet he could win that Darwin award he appears to desire.

You can actually see the instant STUPIDITY kicked in!!!!!
He is lucky that this was not his own death captured on GOPRO!!!!!
once again stupid prize is correct!!
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
I'm pretty sure motorcycle dealers love this kind of thing, it increases sales...or at least replacement purchases.
[note: this is not me in the video, I'm just a casual observer] I think some of you guys are being a bit harsh. This is the same kind of bike that many would love to have in SHTF scenario, and in a SHTF scenario there very well could be environments like this for whatever reason (dams/bridges are destroyed on purpose, or people are forced to go out where there isn't a nice HWY to ride on instead, or hell, it's a natural disaster, the GOV has failed to properly react, and this guy's gotta get medication to his grandma or whatever that couldn't evacuate).
Whether or not this guy was being stupid in the end, he looked to be taking his time, maybe he totally misjudged it, but all the same he was testing himself. Could he have spent thousands and gone to some motorcycle-survival course, yeah, but instead he used what he had. He learned a lesson, good for him.
Anyone who's ever owned a Jeep has had one of those moments he was clearly having for the first 45 seconds or so.
'Should I go for it? What's the worst that could happen? I wonder if I can make it through/over/on/in. What's likely to blow up if it all goes tits-up?'
I'd be a hypocrite to blast him for it; I've paid my penance in fan clutches, rear axles (and lockers), paint, fog lights, etc.
And that gentlemen, is how you take advantage of a natural disaster to get insurance to buy you a new motorcycle!
But seriously, I thought the guy was being cautious, not saying it wasn't risky, but he did slow down in several spots to plan out his route. And, if you've got to get swept away by a flood, I'm sure he was glad he had his leathers on!
See.. But there is an instant- after the "ok.. Goin for it" that things go bad, .. Bike lugs out a bit... And instead of an abort... Or at least a right handed "uh oh"
... He continues straight... With a promise of worse- way worse...
Up until that point he was actually rockin through pretty nice
Once I read "boulderite", I knew the outcome for the knucklehead dips*** [ROFL3][LOL][ROFL2][ROFL1]
