I agree with this course of action. Let Magpul sort it out. They will take care of you.

And if you really NEED a stock while this is getting fixed, send me a PM. I think I have an extra CTR I can loan ya.
I just looked at a CTR, which is setup a little different, but the pin certainly does protrude much more and looks like your takeoff. The pin is slotted where the roll pin goes through and open ended so it's not upside down.
Is there anything obstructing the handle - flash? It doesn't look like it's all the way released. Can you tell if the roll pin is contacting the bottom of the slot in the stop pin?
Wasn't there a bunch of chicom knockoffs floating around lately? Trusted shop could have gotten taken too I guess.
Make new pin
You're right on the money. The lower knockout pin does not contact the stopper pin in the rested position. It looks like the plastic arm (lever to actuate changing positions) was made too thick possibly. I also see no obstructions and my rifle is stock except handguard and grip(both magpul). I have faith in magpuls CS. I'll contact them tommorow.
Bptactical - that'd be a no no for my. Btw my son likes your business cards! :)
Now why didn't I think of that. I think I'll keep that on the back burner and see what happens after I call CS.
Hardest part is I have zero tools for this sort of work. I do have some small screwdrivers to use as hole punches. Might be out of my league. But a damn fine idea! Thank you.
mcjhr : Have you contacted Magpul? What's the word?
