Damn. If that's not a cry out for help, I don't know what is.
Typically immolation is the ultimate state of protest.
Wonder what he was protesting?
Over cooked food served in the cafeteria?
Too soon?
I wish we could stop treating young adults like they were children. Teenagers are a product of the 20th century and a progressive notion that 13 year olds are not capable of adult responsibilities. There are plenty of 30 year olds who aren't capable of adult responsibilities. Expect the most from people and many of them will meet or exceed your expectations. This can be positive or negative.
Jeez, hope he gets help. I must say, I'm thankful he didn't try "Suicide by School Shooting."
I grew up with mine we crashed bycycles, shot guns, crashed dirt bikes, fished, had dirt clod fights, built forts, played football, etc, etc, etc.
They had chores, they got spanked, they ate what we ate, they were taught respect, they earned their $$, they bought their own cars.
I now have a fantastic grandkid because of my kids "upbrining"
Today you have day care, sitters, nannies, expect the school to raise them, give em $$$, all this in place of being a parent. They don't have time for them now and didn't want to "risk" a carreer by having them when they were younger. So they are so out of touch with them they aren't even in the same world.
Have a friend that had them later in life, they are the most fuked up kids you ever met. He got in a fist fight with one the other night.
Wow, if he thought life was bad enough to end it already, he's gonna love a few month stay in the burn unit.
