The rule for the buttons on suit jackets, from top to bottom is, Always, Sometimes, Never. Even on a two button jacket like this, he should have his top button fastened. Not to mention that droopy neck tie. Amateur.

A three button suit is middle always, top optional, bottom never. At least that's what I was always told, by my dad, my custom suit Taylor, and my eye. Nothing looks more stupid to me than someone with only the top button done on a three button suit. JMHO.

I agree, I'd never do that unless sitting, which is suppossedly where the rule came from in the first place.
