This thread is relevant to my interests. "Replace windows" is getting to the top of the list of things to do. I also do not have a home -- or skillset -- that lends itself to homeowner replacement.

Seriously call Norm are Norco Home Improvement. Two man operation so you are not paying for a showroom or a sales man. He is he guy who measures your windows, resommends the type and talks price. He is significantly less then anyone I got to come look at my place while still offering the same or better quality. I honestly think he needs to up his prices.
Just had the guys at Highlands Ranch glass replace some windows for me and I HIGHLY recommend them. Super nice guys, father and son team, good prices and the personal service was outstanding.
I think Renewal by Anderson is out. Their Fibrex material is some pretty cool stuff, but not for $60K.
I could tell by the fine print on their website that they pushed to close the deal quickly, and that was confirmed today. The pressure to close the deal on the 1st visit or the price goes up by 5% left a bad taste in the mouth.
I'll be making some phone calls tomorrow.
Damn...I could damn near gut and remodel my house for 60k. Even if they were super high efficiency, one would never make those payoff over e.g. standard windows from Pellas etc.

Champion is doing my windows on my back side of the house and back door. Manufactued here in Colorado, no middlemen, installed by their own team.
