Would OOB cause the extreme overpressure indicators on the case head?
Wouldn't there be a squib in the case of OOB?

Curios what the results would have been w/a Gen 2 lower with a flared magell. The standard magwell allowed the lower to bend laterally along the top and bottom edges but a flared magwell adds triangular rigidity to that bottom edge, quite a bit too at that, so I'm curious what happens if the energy isn't absorbed through distortion like that. Perhaps just more energy escaping downwards. Added energy could have caused the lower to actually fracture causing more of an 'explosion' at the magwell. Hard to say. I do agree w/Mark's assessment though.
