They used tannerite to blow up a car on an episode of Moonshiners. It was a pretty hefty bag they used, but it destroyed the vehicle and spread fragments a good distance.

Natural selection ALMOST worked.

There is (or was) a video online of some guys harvesting some wild pigs with tannerite. Stuff is definitely not a toy.

Only a matter of time until some genius fills a backpack full of it and takes it into a crowd somewhere. Then it WILL be outlawed.

I think there's enough easy home made explosives rather than one that is a bit more difficult to set off. Then again I suppose you would still have some mentally ill theatre shooting type that finds it easier than googling recipies.
