I only carry when I know that I will be attacked. I wear my ninja suit and carry a sword and nun-chucks for these special occasions as well, just so I'm covered.

Kinda like how I take chains, hi-lift jack, tow straps, etc., when wheeling - but only when I know that I'll get stuck.
