I'm looking to get into lion hunting in the next couple years. Invested in a couple dogs I'm training this year. I'll go after mostly bobbers this winter but i'd like to get out on some lion towards the end of the season with a couple other local guys.
My neighbor has an awesome set up and a lot of experience. Im sure he would be willing to share some info, and ill tag along and search for tracks some time if you like. Just be ready for some long nights, all nighters and early mornings.Quote:

I'm pretty sure one has been lurking around our neighborhood.....I haven't seen sign, but our dog has seen/smelt them before in oregon and he is acting scared/wierd, other dogs in neighborhood seem on edge, and our cat hasn't come home in days (think he might be chow). Weather changing so everythings starting to move...... and if I catch a cougar anywhere around outside the house I'm going to be checking it's stomach for our house cat if I can get a clear shot.

Several times while camping and riding the dirt bike at Texas Creek we have seen and heard mountain lions. Gotta be a great area for hunting them.Quote:
