[facepalm]Good grief, this went south fast....stop the punishment!
So the home owner wasn't even home as he was on vacation and only knew about the raid as his neighbors and media called him? Call BS or what?
If he is innocent, if I was him, I would be LIVID............
Search warrants get served whether there are people home or not. If there isn't an arrest warrant to go with an occupant of the house, it is often better to serve when no one is home. Less people get put on the ground during the initial sweep before the real search begins.
I have no idea what they were looking for and obviously neither does the new media. The homeowner may not know and he is being honest or surprise, surprise, he may know and not be telling the truth to the reporters.
Daylight warrant. I would guess they knocked and announced, but if no one was home, only the agents would know. Most importantly, no one was injured. Let the investigation proceed.
This is not that unusual in a day for law enforcement. The Erie airport has been in the news twice recently. This story and last week a plane crashed killing five people just short of the runway. I have no reason to believe the two stories are related.
Just watched a short interview on Fox with one of the homeowners neighbers, where the neighbor said "it could be something as simple as routine checks", or something along those lines. That is SCARY, the fact that this woman actually believes there are "checks" that are "routine".
But they always come and knock it down...

We don't even know what this was about, so I think it's a bit early to be coming up with conspiracy theories as to why a man wasn't at home at 2 in the afternoon on a Thursday.
