Carry a fake gun for "safety"?

I wonder if we will see this advertised at darwinawards.com.

Kool now I have something to go along with my fake condoms. Win, Win.

I think it is a great idea, if I am in a situation with somebody like this, the bad guy would then have a 50/50 chance of going after me. Who am I to argue if they want to be cannon fodder ;)

I hope the dripping sarcasm comes through.
