Bad dog food?

If it were me I would GET MY DOGS OFF OF COSTCO DOG FOOD RIGHT AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have absolutely nothing against costco dog food and in fact, had both my beagles on the stuff till one passed away and the bags were simply too big for the 1 beagle that remains.

read several of the comments. There are a lot of bad experiences starting around the 1st of the year and dating backwards.

What ever you do don't feed them OL' ROY or something equivalent. That would be like you eating fast food, top ramen, and candy bars your entire life.

I feed my dogs Purina Pro Plan. Seems to be a decent kibble.

We were off treats to help make sure it's not that. They have antler chews only. He does occasionally go out to eat frozen turds. (Unsure if hers or his)

Been onto it for months, only outside to do business otherwise indoors. They do have milk a bones, what's the problem with those?

Also, her mess in kennel as I cleaned it up was pretty formed and fine, I think she just being wierd sometimes didnt go. (Pretty princess hates the cold)


I did find a penny in the middle of one of his splats. So going to make sure we dont have any loose coins he's nibbling on. May have just happened to have landed there in the basement where he splashed.

A friend of mine at work saw his dog go into seizures when eating Beneful, and stopped when he switched to something else.

The turds are probably it. My shep was horrible about it as a puppy, and would go for the cats Almond Rocha if we didn't keep an eye on him. After one he would get all explisive the next day or two.

As for snacks I switched to real dried meat snacks like chicken or duck. It's like crack for dogs. And as a bonus training is much easier. The 1lb size bags are competitively priced compared to cracker type snacks as there is a lot of pieces in a bag, and they are grain free. (Not sure if grain free is really important but thought I'd try it with this guy)

Milk Bones are fine, in and of themselves. I've found people use the term "milk bones" like they use "Kleenex"; as a generic term to cover all treats. Some treats are better for the dogs than others. :)

My block head is on Orijen.. but you don't want to spend that much I'm guessing.

Blue Buffalo is good too.. He just seems to prefer the really $$$ stuff.

It's funny but my last two dogs hated blue buffalo treats. They would spit them out.

Haven't tried any of their treats. He is kind of snooty with treats and food.
