They don't have plans/drawings/etc to replicate it?
Either way, what's the big deal? If anyone else on the market comes up with anything remotely similar, then the investigation takes care of itself.

I think we found the culprit!

I know how they smuggled it out, I watched "The Interview"...
With the vast majority of the attendance at the SHOT Show being "Average Consumers" why wouldn't you expect things to get stolen? Especially in the chaos of people crammed into that venue. There is a reason why most of the manufactures have their shiny guns and parts tied down to the displays.
I think that in this instance, its probably more of an intentional "Look at the bad thing that happened to us" type of marketing. The cost of that one off Bolt Carrier is a drop in the bucket compared to the expenses of hosting a table at the SHOT Show. And as others have already said, its really not a "One Off" if you have the plans to make another one. That and its a bolt carrier, how much special top secret widgets or features can you sneak into that simple part that haven't already been done a thousand times over already?
Um, there are already parts on the market with these features...
SHOT show is expensive, and even if it cost them $1500 for the one off, it is small potatoes to what SHOT costs them. Still, my money is on a airsoft copycatter or a direct knock-off somewhere in Asia...in which case when some idiot buys it off ebay for $150, his gun will blow up. [dig]

It's so weird to me that someone who attended SHOT show would thieve. If it were an open gun show, I wouldn't be surprised giving that a lot of the riff raff slip through the cracks (see: Tanner). But for industry invitees to resort to this kind of behavior is sad, man.
