Not saying I have all the answers, hell I don't even have any of the answers. But I detest the "wipe them all out, who cares" attitude. It makes you (not you specifically...but anyone who feels that way) as despicable as they are because you show you have an equally shitty respect for human life. Does something need to be done? Absolutely. Anyone who says otherwise is ill informed or playing for the wrong team. Yeah...I watched the Daniel Pearl video several years ago. Don't need to see anything like that again. I really don't know what ISIS thinks they're going to accomplish by showing this type of brutality. It may work in some local areas to scare the populace into submission but all it does elsewhere is enrage people. Hell...it's even got Obama dropping bombs on them whenever they show themselves. It certainly does nothing to advance the cause if Islam around the world...probably just the opposite.
But I really don't know what can be done about it that's not already being done. It's going to take a ground army to engage them and make a real difference...and I'm not ready or willing to send our soldiers to do that at this point. I'm afraid it's likely they'll cross a line in the not-too-distant future that will probably make that a necessity.
Those people specifically deserve being ended. How doesn't matter.
