You fed 'em, you got 'em! My wife caught a feral kitten and we still have it. Good with the other cats but otherwise is useless, can't pet it or anything. It just avoids the humans in the house.
If you find any feral animal, just leave it be and nature will take its course.

Feral cats = wild animals. Nature will work itself out for better or worse.
