Back in the day we'd hop over the ambassador bridge to visit the Canadian ballet. Back then all you needed was a drver's license, now they want to see a passport (at least the last time I crossed).

I think you can't even get into Canada if you have a DUI. Is that true?
I grew up in Minnesota, crossed the border many times. The northern border is marked by a boundary about 20 yds wide (with posts every so many feet/yds) where the trees are cut down kind of like a set of power lines through the woods. Nothing to stop you from crossing wherever you wanted.
