Thinking about picking one up in .243 for my daughter. Looks like a lot of gun for the $$.
The 7.7 twist of the 243 is interesting. I wonder if you could run 115gr DTACs.
The review was interesting. If they are all this good, I may have to try a .243.
Also kinda hate ruger, but this is kinda tempting to try out. Was originally going to get one of the either basic savage/weatherby vanguards, then had moved up to the Savage FCP-K or whatever alpha bet soup is the .308 threaded barrel kinda tactical looking thing. Similiar price on that mid range savage, and I imagine at it's core better barrel/gun, though I like a lot of the AR-ness in this. (Though strangely I after deciding to get the MDR, had no interest in a .308 ar as it'd really only serve for benched and I dont do that much.) Guess I'm .308 bipolar/undecided.
Since it's cheaper to buy this than upgrade my Savage I'm interested. I've had better luck with new Ruger rifles than with their new revolvers. The good news is if it doesn't shoot right, they'll take care of you.
