The Princess Bride, The Good Parts Version.
Have you checked out the Vince Flynn novels? Awesome, riveting stories with a great narrator. I check them out through the library system. see: http://www.vinceflynn.com/Audio_Books.html
Vince Flynn on recorded books.
I've listened to most of the Vince Flynn novels and many of the audios run 5-11 hours. My typical trip to the Front Range is 4.5 hours one way, so I can usually get through one of the books.
13 hrs but worth it...going home by a american...first in series of 5 books
Seldom Disappointed by Tony Hillerman
Pirate Hunters by Robert Kurson
The Solar Clipper series by Nathan Lowell are (or were last I checked) still free downloads. I really enjoyed them. Also, there are a lot of Scott Sigler audio books that are free downloads. Mur Lafferty as well. Episodic stuff that can work on a 7hr trip. All good Sci-Fi IMO.

+1 for infected by Scott sigler. Not safe for kids. Free and a good listen. Podiobooks.com is available on iTunes as well. You'll probably start listening to his other stuff too.
+1 for Nathan Lowell who is family friendly as well. Raven wood is on there too. Pretty good stuff.
Best ever though is We're alive audio drama about the zombie apocalypse.
