I never load ammunition in my rifle at home. I have a few mags loaded just in case I need to defend myself but don't load until I am at a range. I live in an apartment building and would hate for an ND to kill someone else. I would rather shoot myself than another person. It would be tough to live with the guilt of a mistake because of my negligence. My prayers go out to the family.

IMHO An AK is the easiest rifle to disassemble,,for field cleaning.

This sucks... It's really unfortunate this lesson is so hard to learn... :(

And still... unless my gun is in pieces and incapable of firing, I still don't point it at anything that can't afford to be shot.
