Don't forget all gaskets and seals.

A few years back I had a '72 C10 LWB 350/350 that was in great shape mechanically, low miles, very minor damage/rust, my dad bought it new, and I had a HELL of a time selling it. I was firm at $1500, but it took MONTHS to get it sold. Held out and finally found the right guy, but it was a painful experience. I loved that truck and didn't want to sell it, but couldn't keep it.
Point is, they're a tough sell. The short wide beds, you can name your price and people will fight over them. Not so with the long beds.
Could be true. Also it's a C-10. K-10 would be an easy sell.
I sold a pretty nice 81 C-10 summer before last. Not nearly as desirable as the 71 you have. Had a rattle can paint job but the body was straight with no rust. Bed was perfect. Original interior was at least an 8. Motor passed emissions. It was a standard transmission with a 283(?). I got $2100 for it.
Pick ups are actually making a pretty big come back. Late 60's even into early 80's are the hot thing in the pro touring world right now.
I'm currently building a '65 C-10. Lowered 8" from stock ride height. Getting 20's out back and 18's out front. Full custom suspension. Hopped up 454 with an 88 mil hanging on the front. I'll get a picture up.
Keep me in the loop.
I'm still pondering letting go of my K3500, just kills me to think about it. Love the 60-80's C/K trucks. But..

This has sentimental value. Value wise, Blue Book .. Weather like this and sub $2. gal gas, is the time to sell.
I've owned 40's merc's & fords, 50's plymouths, $75- 63 S/Sports. late 40's Indian mc's, first year H-D's. Hot rods before they were called Muscle Cars. In the end they're all pieces of steel going to another home. Some for much, much more than i paid . Others on a hook to the junk yard or impound ;)
I could never get into the square body trucks. How GM went from a good looking 67-72 truck to that is something I never understood. That said, to each their own.
'65 C-10 project I mentioned above.
