And people wonder why I try to work on my own shit whenever possible - besides the fact I'm a cheap old bastard.....

I nearly did the same thing last time I did the brakes on the wife's Suby. However, when I took it for the test drive around the block, I knew right off something wasn't right.

I hadn't torqued the RF caliper bolts. Gotta double check that stuff.

Yep, most stressful thing for me is somebody else working on my vehicles...absolutely hate it.

Same for me but I caught it on the drive home, the burning smell was crazy. They had it towed back and fixed within an hour with fresh pads and a new caliper.
Guess I got a bit luckier than you guys. No damage.

Was able to get it to a parking lot and found that they didn't tighten the caliper bolts and the top bolt fell out and the caliper fell into the wheel jamming it up.

They wrote a nice big fat check for me......
