There was a period they were hard to come by but they are back in stock now. I've seen several over the past few weeks.

Just throwing it out there as an option. For the price of that MPX, you could have a scorpion, stock, stamp and have almost enough to get a nice can for it.
Of course you could purchase a pistol now and add a stock after your form 1 clears, putting the thing in your hands now. The stocks are readily available with a little searching and ridiculously easy to attach. Total price looks to be about the same. Either way, if you want the MPX I'd say go for it.
On the other hand, I think the new 2016 CZ Scorpions are about to hit the market. Also I thought I heard/read somewhere that they'd be 922r compliant (might just be the rifles).
"2016 models now feature 1/2×28 threads hidden underneath the factory flash-hider, meaning users can fit either 1/2×28 or 18×1 accessories to the muzzle. Also added is a QD sling swivel pocket integrated into the rear sling attachment point."
Reviving this thread instead of starting a new one...
Has anybody tried the new MPX-k yet? Was looking at one today (still procrastinating on this decision), and while it's super compact, looks great, and felt good in the hand, the concern is that there may just not be enough grip space on the front rail....

Any first hand experience with the shorter model?
Unfortunately not...but personally I grip the magwel and not the forearm on mine. I wanted the K style and may yet end up with that length but my direction has changed since I got mine. Really I want an MP5k at this point. I like the Sig but prefer the HK to it.

Looks like the finger stop can be slid out, or completely removed. I bet someone could make you a finger stop with an extended arm on it so it actually rests just past the edge of the hand guard.
I wonder if I can just get the k style upper.
Its just a barrel change and a float tube change.
