I try to be out of town for Earth Day.
Why is it OK to dig in the ground for rare earth metals for car batteries but not OK to dig in the ground for coal that powers our electrical grid?
Now that I know it is Earth Day I'm going to get my V10 F250 (12 mpg) for a joy ride.
Environmentalists are like watermelons, green on the outside authoritarian commie red on the inside.
The same reason second hand smoke from tobacco is evil but second hand smoke from marijuana is just dandy, beer and whisky are frowned upon but absinthe and new forms of intoxication are cool: anything that smacks of traditional American culture must be "changed".
So what are we supposed to do,go lay down in the yard ?
Drive, ride (bike or mc), walk, jog, run to the nearest flowering tree, stick your nose in one of the blooms and smell the beautiful scent. Watch out for bees.
Get some binoculars and go watch birds, go to a pond and try to spot the frogs and toads. Go fishing, go hunting..
Go to the range and return some lead to mother nature, then recycle your brass to me. :)
Thank a miner, lumberjack, or driller for helping us use our earth mothers resources to good end. Same for farmers.
I post this picture on Telsa's earth day FB post.
