RTD Skyride and flying with shotgun

I guess what I was trying to say in my last post was. You're not breaking any laws, while on public transportation. There's no need to disclose anything.to anyone outside law enforcement. If one choses to do so. PROVIDING you're following state guidelines, for transportation of said items.

It's ridiculous one worries about whether it's legal, how to transport, etc. firearms. Yet there's probably 1/2 dozen people on the same train, or bus. In possession of weed & paraphernalia. Who clearly reek of it.

One thing that I think works great is a soft ( or could be hard) sided golf bag case.

Put the hardsided gun case in here, throw in your jackets, boots and the ammo boxes (you can't take that much, I forget the weight). Most have wheels, and you are rolling. Frankly, anything this size of bag is going to attract attention from thieves. The golf bag definitely flies under the radar when it comes to lugging around long guns. I've only flown with handguns, but when I travel for the family vacations or take classes and I have ARs and some 22s with me, this is how I 'roll'. I brain farted one year and forgot to put them in the case and all those cool 5.11 bags get odd looks. 'Hiding' them by covering them in trash bags just makes it worse.

You can roll all around an airport or hotel or rental car shuttle and not have to think that some closet Rosie O'donnell is giving you the stink eye. Plus, it is actually convenient.

If you get asked, the people you are visiting set up the tee times, so you don't know where you are playing....

My dad, who's ultra conservative now, loves to tell me how he used to get on the city bus with his gun to go hunting back in Upstate New York. 1960ish. His head explodes about everyday with all the nonsense happening now.
