This was going to be a rant on how bad the system is a Cabela's for BGC's and check out at the gun counter. I would say at least 6 people that came in behind me got done ahead of me. They called names and then people started just walking up and they would take them. When I walked up they told to go stand in the back of the line.
I just didn't think I had a good rant in me. So I moved on to the gun I purchased and the issues I had with it. I got into a discussion with one of the employees that said a P64 is a Makarov. One guy asked if ammo is hard to find and they have it on the shelf. So basically when I left the store I felt like I had just left a gun shop full of idiots and a rant seemed appropriate at the time.
And no I haven't ordered the spring set yet but I hear they work well to reduce the 30lb double action trigger pull.
No reason not to rant.
I suspect the logic is that the "new" gun came through wholesale channels from Century while the used gun was sold to them as a used gun.
And I don't believe that refinishing changes C&R status.
