The ghost of Starr Yelland
Family legend has it that my dad was kicked out of there because he brought my two brothers along. There was a gumball machine in the club house and one brother put in a coin into the machine and out came the gum ball. The other brother immediately punched the first in the gut and stole it from him. They were running around screaming and punching each other and my dad was told to take the two brats and not come back.
This was about 1968 or so and it sounds like my brothers (I'm the good son). I work up in Edgewater about every six weeks or so and one day I decided to look to see if I could find where the range was. I figured out it must have been close to that adobe looking building.
What a shame, burned powder smells so much better than the marijuana smoke I smell constantly in that area. I think there are like 5 pot shops in Edgewater itself.
Well I guess some of you did know.
I remember watching them. Thank you for sharing the nice memory.
