Unfortunately, according to the Rockies bus schedule, that one doesn't start heading downtown until around noon. The millennials that I am going to the game with want to get there around 9 that morning so they can get in the bar and get a table and start drinking. Lol. I guess if you don't get there that early then places fill up and you can't get in.

I think I'll just pay the $4.50 to take the 120X bus down there around 9 that morning to meet up with them.

Since I will likely be partaking of adult beverages throughout the day, taking the 120X back after the game will be to my advantage. I figure since they don't serve alcohol after the seventh inning at the game that will give me until the end of the game, plus my walk to Union Station, plus the bus ride back up to 120th to sober up b fire I get to my truck. If I don't feel sobered up by then (which I should) I can have the wife come to the park and ride and get me and maybe she can bring one of the kids to drive my truck back

I think I have it all figured out thanks to you fine people.

Well, except maybe the part where I'll have to party with a bunch of twenty-somethings for about six hours before the game. My plan is to stick to beer, avoid hard liquor, and nurse each and every one of those beers so I don't have any more than I have to before the game.

All the concern about cars being broken into at Park n' Rides - from 2006 through 2010 my office was located in downtown (19th and California) and I took the light rail from Englewood. The only time I ever had problems was when I was parked on the street the Oxford station (there's no "lot" there you just park alongside the street.) Someone busted my passenger side window out, ripped off the cheap stereo and rifled through everything else (I had an NRA sticker on the back window, from the way they went through every compartment in my 4runner I'm guessing they assumed I must have a gun in there, especially since my car was about 1/3 of the way down the street and AFAIK nobody else's car was broken into.)

They only got $15 in change, an MV-50 Air Compressor and a cheap aftermarket stereo that was probably worth $20 max. Of course, they also did about $1500 in damage in the process. [Mad][Rant1]

Anyway, as I said, this happened AWAY from a designated RTD lot. After that, I only parked in RTD lots since they have cameras and security patrols.

Oh, and I scraped the NRA sticker off my window the next day.

I checked that first. It's about $25 each way. That's $50 round trip for those of you that aren't good with numbers.

Uber would cost the same if they had the subsidies RTD gets :(
