Dressed like a first-grader.

Funny post OP. My EDW (Every Day Wardrobe) for work is jeans and Carharrt pocket t-shirts with company logo. Same thing for off days...just no company logo. Sometimes when I'm feeling real crazy I'll sub shorts for jeans.

Like the OP, I have somehow amassed quite the collection of superhero t-shirts. And my youngest kid is almost 26 so I know it wasn't so he and I would match. (Although, he and I went to pick up some food one day and as we left the house we noticed that we both had similar Deadpool shirts on. We both pretty much gave zero f**ks so off we went. When we get to the place to get the food the first thing the girl behind the counter notices and comments on is that we are wearing similar shirts and wanted to know if we did that on purpose.)

As I was reading this thread I realized I was wearing one of my Star Wars shirts. Not exactly superheroes but close.

Some of the responses here made me think of this video. There are many different takes on this, but this kind of echos my thoughts and is one of the reasons why I don't own any t-shirts with any firearm related brands or sayings (or have anything on my car). This just seemed relevant. Pardon me if it's not.

I realize what has happened is that when my wife buys a shirt for my son, she thinks it is funny or cute for us to match, so she buys the same shirt for me. I also realize the path this is headed down, where I will soon be the Dad at the roller-rink rocking the bright yellow Pokemon t-shirt despite being over 40 and believing that Pokemon is just animated cock fighting for children. Is the desire to dress people alike just inherent in the female genome? And if so, why not choose to dress my son like an old man?

I'm tempted to replenish the rag stock in my gun cleaning box in a passive-aggressive counter-strike, but then I might not get my afternoon juice box and fruit roll-up.

Ha, that made my day!

Before the divorce I wore sweatpants and hoodies. In the summer basketball style shorts and t-shirts. Now that I'm back on the market I wear a lot of more "fashionable" clothing as long as I can still ccw in it. No skinny jeans, but my sister and cousin made me buy pant that fit and aren't so baggy. I still like to wear funny (at least to me) t-shirts. Oh how being single will make you go back to the gym, loose 25lbs, and dress like you care!!! Just get a divorce if you want a style change, though I don't recommend it!

As a child of the 70s, Star Wars was my jam. But it's either not what the kids are into these days, or they are into the Millineal Falcon version with angsty Darth-lite and where every character feels perfectly entitled to provide input on the battle plan despite being employed by the Rebellion for a hot minute. I'm pretty sure Darth-Angst got extra time on tests at Jedi Academy.

My off-work wear consists mostly of the Cabelas Rough-Neck line of button-down in solid colors, and the Carhartt plaid button-downs. I work a very white-collar job, but my wife says my clothing choices indicate I always really wanted to be a farm-hand or a forest ranger.
Both of us are on our second marriages, and this one will end in the death of one of us, with a 50% chance that the surviving spouse will be the defendant. So a divorce-inspired makeover is unlikely any time soon.

Dress for success, park like shyt

I've ended up with tons of t-shirts from work that I end up wearing all the time. They're all pretty lame but they out number the shirts I've chosen like 3-1. I've reached the age where I just don't really care. I get the "why are you wearing a google (biggest client) shirt" all the time. At work it's always jeans, sneakers and a long sleeve collared shirt. On date night or for an event or something I have some really nice clothes, custom tailored shirts and stuff. In high school I had to wear shirt and tie, tucked in, slacks, non sneakers so I really don't like dressing up because of that.
