not all of them, I heard there are 18 left that sell them here
Some of their stores did. It's at the discretion of the manager.
I have two sons, 8 and 11, they have a Henry Youth Lever, a Henry Mini Bolt, a Ruger 10/22 with a youth stock, and a Ruger 10/22 with a collapsible AR15 stock. The Mini Bolt is the smallest and lightest, 10/22 with the collapsible stock is the heaviest, it has an aluminum fore-stock. The lever gun is also kind of heavy for a small kid. My 11 year old can shoot any of them easily but the 8 year old has some difficulty with the heavier ones.
I really like the sights on the Mini-bolt, they are fiber optic with the front being yellow and the rear orange. It makes it really easy to explain how to align the sights and very easy for them to see.
The other rifle I considered was the CZ Scout, it comes with a single shot feeder but a 5 round mag can be used too. Also the stock can be replaced to make the LOP longer.
We have decided to go with a 10/22 and a Blackhawk Adjustable stock. Thanks for all the great ideas.
I like that stock, it should work well.
I found a 10/22 for 100, added the stock for 80 more. Also added an extended mag release and a new bolt release.
Next will be a Tech-Sight setup so we can work with peep sights.
Overall pretty happy with it, fits my son well. Heading out to range today.
Trigger discipline would be the first thing to work on.
agreed, did not see that until looking at the picture
