I’d be shocked. $0.02
If they go down, it’ll be the Sports Authority issue (sales vs. massive overhead) vs. anything to do with guns.
Basically agreeing with Opie.
I’m pretty neutral on Dick’s, personally. Honestly never think of them for anything firearms, I’d certainly sooner shop locally (edit: or online) for anything like that. This is true for everything: In all categories, you’d be better shopping at a specific shop. It is big box, and therefore sort of ridiculous especially for guns, bicycles, fishing, snowboard, hunting, camping, etc, etc. But it isn’t horrible for sporting goods like bats/balls in a pinch, or equipment (treadmills), or for “athleisure” clothes or shoes on sale. Even for these, you can do better, but they aren’t quite as silly as buying guns at a place with a basketball for a logo.

Where will people buy their crappy Bushmasters now?
Surprised that many people liked Dick.
Dicks didn't stop selling ARs after Sandy Hook. They just stopped carrying them in their main stores, but kept selling them at their more outdoor-oriented Field & Stream stores. Because they still wanted the money, just not the publicity. Now that the AR market has softened, this was an easy time to make the decision. But it wasn't based on moral principals any more then the last time. Just a business decision about how to minimize risk and get some free marketing.
I haven't been in Dicks for a long time. Won't be going back.
