If you want shine,you need shoe polish. Redwing oil has been my go to for 20 years. With lots of Snoseal in the wet months. Too much oil does make the leather stretch. Bee's wax products less of an issue. Who has shiny work boots?

Stupid federal contract gigs. Not really enforced other than boot cant be all scuffed to shit. Boots have to be basically mostly "shinable" surface. Doesn't actually get made to be done like when I was in boot or anything. So my biggest concern was just taking care of these higher end of the Bates line. Seemed concerning after a month or two, I can see how the grain surface can wipe to one side or another from the scuffs.
