Hmmm ... question: do they expect to find remains or DNA evidence in that wreck? What happens if they don't find any?
I expect it's exactly what it looks like, a guy deciding on a last fling before he checks out, but it sounded like a Hollywood setup for a guy faking his own death ...
d.b. cooper.
Someone stole a plane in the 50's in that area and crashed it also. A liberator if I remember right.
That's the one.
I think I confused him with that other guy that faked his life by organizing a library.
That audio is wild.
Remains of airline worker who stole, crashed plane found on island in Puget Sound
Quote:
The remains of an airline worker who stole and crashed a passenger plane have been found on an island in Puget Sound, officials say.
Investigators also said Sunday that they have recovered the flight recorder and components of the cockpit voice recorder from the 76-seat Horizon Air Q400 flown by Richard Russell.
Russell swiped the commercial aircraft from Sea-Tac International Airport on Friday and performed some startling acrobatic stunts before going down.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office in Washington confirmed Sunday that Russell died in the fiery wreckage, but investigators are unsure if the crash was deliberate or accidental.
He was probably high on marijuana.
