3 Gun Competition

I'm with the rest of the folks, run what you have until it starts stopping you or breaks. Pump with 4 is not seksy, but who cares?
Of course its up to you. Are you doing this for fun and skills or do you want to become #1?

Guns I have run in 3 gun for fun. FAL para, SKS, revolver, pump with 5 round cap with #6 shot and full power slugs.
Funnest setup ever was an old dude with a Garand who had a small bag filled with his clips. He did not win the stage on time, but everyone tgought he took that stage.

NO! The Mossbergs are not suitable for 3Gun. A pump is literally better, add a $50 extension.

There are a handful of shotguns suitable for 3Gun...All release the shell on the trigger pull instead of the bolt cycle, which is what is needed for the reliability with a long stack of shells in the tube. M2, M3000, M3K, Affinity, Breda, 1301, V3, in that order. All will need a little bit of work.

I run an M2, but my boys both run (and prefer) the M3000 shotguns. Put a Carbon Arms tube on a M3K and you are as cheap and close to ready as there is on the market. Don't go spending a lot of money before you start shooting matches. If you can get an extension for your current gun that's a great move. You might be surprised how much fun you have without spending a fortune. Also if you get out there with a friendly attitude there's a lot of cool people who will be happy to let you try out all sorts of gear so you can make an informed decision.
