A lot of things like that survive because they own the commercial real estate outright and they have such low operating costs (e.g. not paying themselves dirt) that they can continue on with their hobby business until they themselves turn into dust. The only operating cost literally becomes utilities (and property tax), and keeping the lights on isn't that hard to clear for even the most niche business. ($200/month, at most).Quote:
