Mine has stacked cannon balls and a letter M with an arrow going through it.
Its a type 30 Japanese bayonet it seems.
Guess that means it was ment to kneel down and fall on.
While I havent gone to that extent I have drawn blood scratching my back. Haha

Very interesting!
I thought most Japanese bayos had a curved guard but there were some straight ones made later in the war. That pic totally looked like a M1917 when I saw but now that I'm able to compare it looks like that is the case.
Still a really cool piece of WWII history in great shape for age!
