So the SEAL’s capture one of the most terrorists in Iraq and he gets punched. We should be celebrating the capture!
Do I care that he got punched? Hell no! Did everyone read what they did to our guys when they got them?
The SEAL team leader is the one at fault for not having the balls to sort it out within the team itself if he felt the need.
I’m truly disgusted by this, when we will learn that politics should stay away from the military. Too much political BS. These guys are hero’s and we treat them like that……..
What are we becoming?

From the way I read the article, the guy was caught, transferred to Iraqi authorities, made a complaint to the Iraqis about being punched or otherwise hit in the face, transferred back to American custody where the SEAL team leader became aware of the complaint. The team leader then dutifully reported the alledged abuse up the chain. At that point, the higher ups should have said, "Thank you for reporting this. Fuck his bloody lip and his complaints of abuse."
I have no problems with the team leader reporting what he heard. It doesn't sound like he was trying to rat out anyone. Sounds like he was following protocol, probably assuming higher ups would say, "tough shit."
Instead, as usual, it sounds like some polictically correct little pissant officer in the chain somewhere, someone who probably isn't a real Warrior but rather some military rear-echelon bureaucrat who's never left the Green Zone, decided to make a federal case outta the incident. Pure speculation on my part. But speculation based on experience.
Who in their right mind would consider a bloody lip on one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq - a guy who kills, burns, mutilates and then hangs the bodies of 4 Americans from a bridge, to be significant enough to care about? I don't get it.
Are we fighting a war or having a friggin tea party? Our national priorities in terms of how our military is micro-managed is so screwed up we may never get back on track.
I just don't understand the mentality of someone who gets upset over a really, really bad guy getting a fat lip during his capture by a SEAL team in a war zone.
Next thing you know, we'll find out they had real bullets in their guns.

Surpirse. CNN does not even have this story on their website, at all. That's how embarassing this is for the administration. On fox news it's the headline. If the administration had anything that resembled a sack they should squash this thing and extend sincere applogies to these Seals and all of our armed forces. Just MHO.
