By this logic Smith & Wesson will kill off M&P-15 too.

Perhaps a little sad for the nostalgic folks, but necessary in my opinion. The market will be higher quality as a result. Remington can put the money into new and greater lines, that's for sure.

Assuming they do. Remington is not immune to poor decision making.

The prior owner of Bushmaster went out and put together Windham Weaponry in Maine.

Yep, and he gathered whoever he could from the original Bushmaster crews that worked for him before.

I doubt Remington will improve as a result of this. They sure haven't 'improved' the brands they acquired, including Marlin.
