Yeah, I always compare our weather to the interior of Alaska.
I stopped at King Soopers yesterday on the way home from work. Some chick in yoga pants, zip hoodie and crocs said “I didn’t think it was going to get this cold”.

I had a weird dream that my company was trying to send me to Antarctica. Reflecting back on it, maybe I should have accepted. Seems it might be a little warmer there right now.

It is summer there currently.
My grandparents lived in Cutbank, MT for over 30 years. It's about 40 miles south of the border. Coldest place in the continental US. Regularly -70 with wind-chill. Of course they were nuts. In his "retirement" he split the year with another Dr in Barrow, AK, the most northern point inhabited by man.
Wind chill is made up sensationalistic nonsense.
It a supposed calculation of how cold it "feels" to exposed skin.
Feels to whom? Enos the Eskimo is going to feel differently in a cool breeze than Jose from Guatemala.
Neither is going to walk around naked in subzero weather.
My thermometer currently shows -4. That's impressively cold for Denver without the "feels like" hype.
I was shooting sporting clays at Kiowa at 2:30 yesterday with a light jacket that I almost took off. By dinner it was neg 5. Nuts.
There's a weather station at Winter Park currently reading -14deg and clocking 100mph gusts. Yuck.
