They really are a problem. My introduction was seven years ago when I moved to Oregon from Ohio. I could see what an interesting and unique city Portland was before I showed up, really felt bad for the natives.
I got out and found a job here a little over five years ago. Similar problems here but not as far gone. My feeling is that the influx is dying down and maybe things will stop pushing left and potentially swing back slightly right. This all could be wishful thinking on my part because we do like it here and don?t want to feel like we need to move.
With all that said me and my wife keep one eye on the exit. Our next move, if needed, has to be someplace we want to be that Californians don?t. Most likely we will go back to the Carolinas but there it New Yorkers and others from the northeast. They aren?t nearly as bad as Californians imo. The final option is back to Ohio but it would take some convincing to go back to those grey/cold winters.
Long story short, they are the worst.
