Just finished the series on Netflix. I'm a little behind the times.
Wow. 3 years and a month later. This might be a record for resurrecting a dead thread. [LOL]
It was a good show though. I might have to dig the DVDs out and start the series over again.
I ripped through all 193 episodes in about 6 months. That Netflix streaming is great for that. I Did Walking Dead and I'm doing Breaking Bad as well.
I tried to get into 24 when it was on but never could. But watching it from the beginning I got hooked. One day after work I think I watched 5 episodes in a row. My family got so sick of that stupid, overemphasized clock sound that I had to get good with the mute button when the commercials started and again when the show resumed.
Yeah, my wife grew to loathe that sound as well. It took me about a year and a half to get through them all but I really had to get it scratched off my bucket list.
Wait what? 24 is back on? Oh and then I finished reading the whole thread.... lesson learned.
Changed the title hoping to avoid other people thinking it was back on. I had the same thought at first.
That's blasphemy Jim.
This was my favorite part of 24; http://blogs.herald.com/dave_barrys_blog/24/
The live blogs of the episodes were quite funny. The drinking game where you take a drink when "protocol" or "perimeter" was mentioned. The viewers complaining that "we're halfway into the episode and nobody has been shot in the thigh".
I loved the departure from reality when Jack gets pulled over by the cops but he calls the President and hands his cell phone to the cops...who then let him go. Jack stepping over a rifle to continue shooting bad guys at 100 yards with his 9mm...
I only caught a few episodes. I can't disconnect my brain from reality to that extent.
