Bigbear, you have everything to worry about, as your car is one of the most stolen vehicles. I have a buddy with a stock 2000 Civic Si (probably the only completely stock one left in the state!) that has been stolen going on 7 times now! SEVEN! The first time it got stolen, he found out that it had lo-jack on it. Ever since, he's always gotten it back in mostly one piece.
Sorry to hear.
When we lived in the slums of Federal Heights my car was stolen TWICE, and the rims stolen once.
The officers were like "hey it's you again".[ROFL1]
One time they actually caught the guy driving it. The second time they found it abandoned. And the third I walked out to find it on the rotors. There were units not but 10 ft. from where I parked it and of course no one noticed anything. But then again about 98% of the people that lived there were shady characters. What a shithole that place was.
One time, the police located my friend's Civic IN SOMEONE ELSE's GARAGE, with a 10mm wrench on the windshield, the 10mm plate bolts, and the plates. They asked the guy who's car it was, he said he didn't know whose it was or how it got there. They told my buddy there was nothing they could do. Absolutely pathetic. I was outraged at the time.
Glad I don't live in town and rarely go to town.
Guns are usually left in the truck.. trucks are unlocked... keys in the ignition...
I'm probably going to see or hear you come up the drive though.... or perhaps the dogs will at least let me know when someones there. Then there are the folks that say, "Well all someone has to do is shoot the dogs." True, but it kind of gives away you are there and after I hear a gunshot, I will be armed too!
Also, us country folk also look out for our neighbors. We know who is supposed to be aorund and who isn't.
What's a Honda Civic?? Is it one of those new fangled tiny four-een cars?
I thought the most stolen vehicle in the US was the F150?
It was in the 80's and 90's, along with Mustangs. It is probably still near the top of the list; especially in the south where people steal SUVs and trucks then immediately drive them across the border.
