I don't think this performance is what you think it is.
And I don't see the words 'sexual violence' anywhere in the description of the performance. Only in your summing up.

Moan is an artistic achievement for UCCS. It stews in your mind after you leave; I was still thinking about it the next morning, which is always a good sign. The easily offended won't enjoy it, but no matter what your stance, you will talk about it.

I am not a prude.. I toured on the road as a bassist for over a decade (of decadence) with a heavy metal band...
longer in total with other bands including name acts... so I am NOT some folkesy fluffer.

Thanks for the link that contains a better description of the show. Matt Barton's piece sounds (and looks) boring. Claire Rau's, I would go and see. Twenty feet of carved wooden chain, that's impressive work. I'm not sure I see anything promoting violence against women, though. I remember that in The Bacchae it was the men who suffered all the violence.

We all have our own perceptions of art.
However...
My specific use of this example was to illustrate the use of art, by the left, to dehumanize women.
Addditionally, these tactics are used to decriminalize certain behaviors in order to being about the normality of those behaviors.
Just as the thread topic describes:

I can cite a varitey of these tactics that have been used - to normalize behaviors - that you would certainly be familar with...

That is just under 5K miles per car...
Average annual automobile mileage = 12K (conservatively)
that is still over 7K more than the stated figure...

Do you have a link to the actual article? I'm not sure how more oil equals less cars regardless of the math. In theory (and I dropped economics after a year so my theory might be wrong), more oil = cheaper gas = people driving more, surely?
N/m, I found it. It's 1.8 billion rather than million.
And I assumed it meant that offshore drilling would produce more oil but it's about fuel efficiency saving oil so we were both wrong :D
