Slowly Nazi Germany Arrives in USA

Sorry Carl, Nazis were not to the right of anything but communism.. Definatly the left side of the spectrum. Were they for the individual?, No,The State was more important. They had more in common with todays democrats than they do with the remnents of the republican party. Sure, Hitler put people back to work, but for the most part it was for the Government, Building roads and other stuff that benefited the state, not the individual. Nazism is more closly related to Fascism than it is capitalism..

Hell, I contend that FDR was more of a National Socialist than a democrat.

The "Left vs Right" paradigm of political thought is one of the major Big Lies we have been fed.

To say the entire spectrum of political thought lies between Communism on the extreme left and Fascism on the extreme right is like saying the entire spectrum of musical styles lies between West Coast Hip Hop on the extreme left and East Coast Hip Hop on the extreme right ... it all sounds the same to Country, Jazz and Classical fans (and leaves those styles out).

The purpose of the lie is so that "leftists" (Communists, Socialists, Democrats, Etc) can pretend that mainstream conservative views are "more to the right" than their views and thus "Closer to being Fascists". In other words its a rhetorical device they use to say "Republican = Nazi".

To the Progressive, or Liberal or "Leftist" (or whatever we're calling them this week) the spectrum of acceptable political systems is indeed between Communism and Fascism.

There are only two real difference between Communism and Fascism:

1. Communism is globalist in nature whereas Fascism tends to embrace Nationalism.
2. Fascism seeks to create an illusion of a layer of Capitalism by hiding the government control of the means of production by leaving the structure of corporations intact (and either leaving those in charge of the corporations in control of their companies, or replacing them with idiots loyal to the government).

So in reality, Socialism and Fascism are simply steps toward Communism. Doesn't really matter which one you get, total government and death are huge parts of all three.

I submit that a two axis grid as opposed to a simple left vs right line is much more descriptive. Something like the result you get when you take The World's Smallest Political Quiz (although frankly the quiz itself is WAY too simplistic).

BTW Nazi Germany was a Totalitarian regime. It was formed as a conservative movement (to bring back the old prestige of Germany) that gradually became a Totalitarian "Cult of Personality" with a single person in total command.

I cant believe some these opinions. My father fought in WWII. And WWII was only the most reported and documented conflict in the world's history. Please people go read a book or documentary on WWII and the rise of the Nazi party (preferable one that wasn't written in the last 20 years, as we are quickly unlearning the lessons or our forefathers). You will quickly learn that is was about power and control. Not ideals. About scapegoating, ultimate power and expansionism. Do you really think that had Hitler completely exterminated the Jews (and that was his plan), he would not have found another scapegoat to blame afterward? Hitler did not give a shit about left or right. It was about world domination, his personal view of how the world should be.

Think I am wrong? I am always open to a debate. We live in the USA, and you can express your opinions openly. If you think we live in Nazi Germany, then go read a book. Or better yet, build a time machine and see for yourself how utterly wrong you are.

Not to high jack this thread, but I went to youtube to show this video to my 2.5 year-old daughter. I said, I'm going to show you a new song. I started playing the video and she said, "I've seen this." What the hell? She goes to grandma's every day with her cousin and they don't even have internet! How is my parenting supposed to compete with youtube when my 2.5 year-old (who just learned how to use a computer mouse to play Elmo games) tells me "Repost Dad..." when I go to show her a new dance?

She knows that they played that at her parents wedding, and every other wedding in the last 15 years... Kids these days... they grow up fast...

No, I used the entry on "Big Lie" to define what a "Big Lie" is ... it just so happens that Hitler's "Big Lie" was about the Jews ... but there are plenty of other "Big Lies" out there. Often when I use the term "Big Lie" people think I made it up ... I'm just establishing that it is a term with a specific meaning.

There was nothing "conservative" about the Nazis (except that you're buying one of the other Progressive lies that love of one's country is a form of evil unique to "the right" ... see, more "Republican = Nazi"). The National Socialist German Workers' Party (aka the Nazis ... Nazi comes from the German word Nationalsozialist) was about replacing the Weimar Republic (which had recently replaced the centuries old Imperial form of government in Germany) with a shiny new Socialist form of government. NOTHING was to be "conserved" here. Oh and do tell me about "Cult of Personality".

Bingo. And that is EXACTLY what modern progressive-ism (or liberalism or leftism or whatever we're calling it these days) is about. Its exactly what the Democrat party and Barack Obama are working toward. They don't care about women's rights, gay rights, minority rights or the environment, they only truly care about power and they will use the women's, gay, minority and environmental movements to help achieve their goal of total power.

We are heading toward the same political system as ruled Nazi Germany (and for that matter Fascist Italy and the Soviet Union).

Unchecked, Obama and the Democrat Party WILL follow in the jackboot steps of Germany, Russia, Italy, China, Iran, Iraq, Cambodia, Viet Nam, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, Etc.
