I feel the same way. Most places are very average here in CO. However, I know of a couple good ones in Santa Fe!

If you guys know of any good places that sell pie speak up. I hear Great Scott's is pretty good but haven't made it there yet. Pie is my weakness. [Flower]

There's a place up towards Evergreen (in Genesse) called Guido's, and the pizza there is pretty damn good. At least it used to be. The former owner was from New York, so he only made pizza the right way (which is new york style IMO)

Is Famous Pizza still around? they used to have decent pizza, but that was a long time ago. Can't eat that stuff too often anymore...

There's an Italian place in Parker called Armando's that's pretty good, might give it a try. Best lasagna I've ever had. On Lincoln just west of Parker Rd. in the Lowe's plaza.

And I just LOVE On The Border's food.

Yeah I know what you mean, Having grown up in Europe and being of Sicilian descent I Understand, "Americanized" Italian food is pretty much all shit as well

I really like the pizza from Parisi's (44th and Tennyson). Reminds me of the Trattoria's when I lived in Italy. They have a market on the other side as well as a dining room downstairs.

I always eat upstairs and get the Quattro Stagioni.

In Fort Collins we always go to Suh, its an asian fusion resturaunt with the best tempura and unagi I've found so far in the state.

In Colorado Springs we love Taco Star for cheap midnight snacks, Tomo Sushi for some pretty decent rolls/sushi and Western Omelet for great "greasy spoon" food.

Denver has some great Pho and authentic Chinese places (Cant remember the name but one of the Chinese places has Crispy Salt and Pepper Duck Tongue thats just freakin amazing ). Unfortunately I cant remember the streets or names of most of those places its been too long.

Las Delicias is my 3 O clock lunch place they get my in and out pretty quick. They are closer to my work and can usually do it under 1hr if I'm trying. There are somethings I like at Delicias more then Arcos but chicken chimi's are not one of them.
