Just sayin',,,,
The TB or the icy hot seem to work the best on my foot.. Oh, and +4 on the JD.
The wife is a nurse, and we use Aspercreme.

More medicinal and stink/heat/cold is optional pending which Aspercreme you buy. I use it frequently on the neck and shoulders. Apply often (with JACK).
Check your PMs. I can get some stuff that'll help your body heal itself at an alarming rate. You can't find it in stores. Tiger Balm would be the next bet, and I can get some other variations of it too, although they don't have the same healing properties as the first stuff I mentioned. Ice is only good for the first 24 hours, then you want heat and massage. However, on a ligament, I'm not THAT knowledgable on how exactly to massage the torn ligament fragments together..... I did the same thing to my ankle a couple years ago. Walked into the acupuncturist on crutches. Walked out of there on my own two feet. LOTS of pain involved but I'll be damned if it didn't work.
1. Asprin/Salicin based oinments
If you are allergic to those, it is no no.
2. Keto NSAIDS based patches/oinment (my favorite)
Only few brands gets imported into US. Hard to find. not sold in any stores.
3. menthol patches/oinment
maskes pain with menthol.
4. Lidocane patches
Only Rx.
Yikes! SAIDS = Super AIDS?? Your favorite? Thank God only a few of those are imported! Oh noes!
Ok I'm done. I had to. :D [Beer]
Capisasin ointment gets hot. But if still hurts this coming spring or summer, I suggest a cold mountain stream foot dunking. Or an electric portable water tub heat foot messager. Also, be aware of gout. It can key in on your foot injury.
Food, like peanuts or shrimp causes gout: Which is uric acid crystals in your muscle tissue.
Ok, at this point, I have tried the tiger balm from Walmart, the maximum strength. I don't feel a thing... There is no difference... Am I missing something? At this point I have gooped the stuff on. [Stick] Looks like I will need to try something different. Thanks for the suggestions about the tiger balm though guys.
Sorry, that is not what I meant... I don't feel the affect of the tiger balm, it didn't change the way my ancle feels. My friend says the tiger balm patches work better, and is dropin some by in a few, so I will see how that works out.
