I guess I'm saying I dont see what the crime here is. Perhaps destruction of property, but then, the tree was on the range? You don't say.
I believe it is illegal to cut down a live tree in a national Forrest without a permit. It is also a part of the burn area and the couple of times I have talked with the rangers they were adamant about leaving the live trees alone.Quote:
