They still make quite a loud crack though far less then a normal gunshot, bullet goes about 350 fps. It helps if you insulate your garage and garage door. Also, if you shoot them from a semi-auto you'll have to manually cycle it. And if you shoot from a long barrel make sure you verify the bullet exited before taking your next shot.
