Things like this probably inspired the anti-sharia campaign

It was later overturned.
I have done quite a bit of reading about Sharia law over the past couple years and it is much more than just some social code. It is a blueprint for ethnic cleansing. The idea is to kill everyone not Muslim. There are many books put out by the Muslim Brotherhood that detail the implementation of Sharia and we are playing right into their hand. The idea of "Stealth Jihad" as they call it is used and it describes the destroying of foreign powers from within through colonizing then at very specific population concentrations they will start to enact their law until we are powerless to stop them from taking over and killing everyone who resists. Getting it accepted in court of law is just one of the first steps. Look at France for example. They are on the verge of becoming a Muslim country believe it or not. It all will culminate with mass rioting and an overthrow of the government. Take Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Gaza, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Malaysia for example.
I think that what they are attempting is the right thing to do and we should be doing the same thing everywhere. Yes it is implied that our laws are in no way superseded by any foreign law, but our justice and political system is known for getting around that and interpreting things in any way that benefits their current agenda. I just read an article today about a Tennessee Sheriff’s department arguing “the right to liberty does not mean physical liberty” and it was upheld after they wrongfully imprisoned a man.
Unless a law is enacted by a legislature or interpreted from the bench, it is not enforceable. If a significant voting population of any jurisdiction lobby for specific laws to be enacted, they are likely to become laws.
Thou shalt not kill is a religious commandment.
Murder in the First Degree is a violation of Colorado Revised Statutes 18-3-102.
Many if not all laws have their foundation in a religious or certainly a moral code. If you were a muslim living in Saudi Arabia, wouldn't you want to be governed by Sharia law? Fortunately for me, because I am not a muslim and I do not live in a predominately muslim community, there is not much chance that I will be living under Sharia law in the near future.
What France and much of western Europe is dealing with is a war of demographics. Muslims significantly out produce non-muslims. Minorities will always be less powerful and influential in a properly working democracy.
