Actually, for the month of December 10th (the most current data) we imported 344,379,000 barrels total of which 84,092,000 was from Canada.
That is 24.4%.
We imported 143,027,000 barrels from OPEC countries.
That is 41.5%.
Yes, Canada is our biggest single supplier, but we do not import "most" of our oil from them.

Lots of people simply don't want oil derricks, mountain top removal, fraking, windmills, nuclear plants, or open pit mines near their house.
