That is a lot more charges than most DV suspects get, so believe me they didn't give him a break, not to mention all those charges ARE misdemeanors...what felonies would there be in this case?

If you break a law that is a felony they charge you with a felony, that is usually how it works.

Thanks for answering before I did on this one, I think people miss this a lot and don't understand.

The DV might as well be a felony. He'll never own a gun again. For his profession, no gun = no job.

And this is federally mandated for all DVs weather felony oe misdomeaner via the Lautenburg act.

What about possession of a firearm while intoxicated... I remember after getting my CCW they told me never to carry while drinking, it's a felony.... I know a cop who pulled over one of his cop friends and the guy was clearly drunk out of his mind. They left his car in a parking lot and the on-duty friend drove the drunk one home. No paper trail, nothing.
